Turtlehead attracts: Butterflies, hummingbirds, native bees and is deer and rabbit resistant!  What more could you want, really....?

AND it is a host plant for: Baltimore Checkerspot butterflies.

Turtlehead is found in wetland areas, stream banks, ditches, meadows and woodlands so it will do well in a very moist or irrigated garden. Tubular flowers look like turtles heads, hence the name! It prefers slightly acidic soil so you might want to add some compost.
