Stiff Goldenrod attracts: native bees, honey bees and beneficial insects that protect your garden from insect pests.
Stiff Goldenrod is a relatively small goldenrod that is not aggressive. It is found in prairies and on meadow edges so does well in a variety of soils under relatively dry conditions. It has fine hairs on it's leaves and showy blooms. It is a powerhouse (as are all goldenrods!) for feeding native insects in the fall season. Contrary to popular myth, goldenrod does not cause allergies. Their pollen is too heavy to float in the air! (Plants like ragweed are the culprits!)
