Dense Blazing Star attracts: hummingbirds, native bees, bumble bees, and other beneficial insects.
Found in moist prairies or meadows, it prefers a slightly acidic soil so you may want to add some compost to your soil, however if the soil is too rich the flower spike will droop. The flower spike adds dynamic texture to the garden and pairs well with yellow flowers like Smooth Oxeye and Lanceleaf coreopsis
