This slow growing grass turns a golden-orange colour in fall, and light bronze in winter. 

Prairie Dropseed attracts: native bees as it provides them with nesting materials.

This grass is found in prairie, dry meadow, sandy or rocky areas. It is a clump forming warm season grass that is relatively slow growing. It is often used on borders in the garden as it is relatively short and contained. It turns a lovely golden / orange colour in fall.
